History
Lauderdale vaulting group started in the late 1980s and was originally based on the Lauderdale Pony Club.  Vaulting started at a summer camp and grew into a trick ride that raised £1500 for McMillan Nurses in the Borders that then led to the youngsters being "bitten by the bug". Original members were then invited to go abroad and have a look first hand at what could be done.  The FEI recognised sport has long been practiced on the continent.  These early trips fuelled the imagination and since the first GB International Vaulting Team based on a Lauderdale horse and core team members, went to the World Equestrian Games 1990 in Stockholm, members have continued to represent GB in international teams in CVI’s as well as European and World Championships.
